Bees Vs. Wasps
•September 27, 2007 • 6 CommentsOkay people, after much creative thought I have decided to teach the world about the difference. The difference between a bee and a wasp. Okay let’s start…
BEE

Origin: http://www.treehugger.com/files/2007/05/bigcity_bees.php
Statistics:
Colors: Orangish and black stripes
Stings: More powerful venom than a wasp’s, but it dies after it stings.<Update> I’ve been looking at some sites and the bee sometimes lives when the sting doesn’t stay, and it flies off or tries to sting again.>
Home: Bees live in hives
Food: They make honey and gather pollen
Alright then on to the wasp.
Wasp

Origin: http://www.english-country-garden.com/animals/german-wasp.htm
This is a wasp, a common one known as the German Wasp.
Statistics:
Colors: Yellow and black
Stings: Less powerful, but they live to sting again
Home: Wasps live in burrows underground or in trees, but not in hives
Food: Just like some bumblebees they steal honey from bees, eat them or eat something else, another insect.
YAY, now you can go out in the world and tell everyone the difference between a wasp and a bee!
Experimenting
•September 25, 2007 • 3 CommentsI was just playing with a technique a couple of days ago and here is the photo of the experimen.

Here I told Alex to “draw” a star in the air with a flashlight.
I put it on bulb and recorded until he finished and this is what I got.
New Military Camera Technology
•September 24, 2007 • 1 Comment
This is a new technology developed by the Military as a spy camera and a defence. It is very similar and most likely to be based on a maple seed. The reason for this comes from the aerodynamicy of the maple seed. Although it does not fly like a maple seed, instead being propelled by two tiny jet boosters. It can help in many situations such as spy cameras, and finding survivors.
My opinion on these “things” is that as much as progressing technology is a good thing. In a couple of years we’ll be dreaming of the privacy we once had, becuase from this step comes nanotechnology, with which they’ll be able to make cameras the size of an atom, or something similar. Although they’re neat, when they are released to the public(“if” is a factor)The U.S. Military will have advanced versions and are most likely spying on people, although it’s supposed to be against a person’s rights, but if you can’t see it, it’s not there is it?
Free Ebooks
•September 23, 2007 • Leave a CommentI stumbled upon a site yesterday called http://www.dbebooks.com/ it has many many ebooks for free. It also has pdfs of some magazine issues. What I really like about this site is that they have a multitude of photography books. However I warn you that the page that they send you too is NSFW. The content is but there is a popup ad that is NSFW so be warned. Also you could just use ADblock plus on firefox or if your using opera turn off the images just to be safe.
The books aren’t best quality, they have some spelling mistakes.
But remember this is all free so its better than nothing.
Reveiw for Warrock Final Score:
•September 19, 2007 • Leave a Comment1.Gameplay- The game is completely unlike the unrealistic Wofenstein:ET. In fact, it’s more like counterstrike. with very big recoil on guns that fit perfectly to normal jumps and you die much quicker. Although I haven’t played any games on Warrock besides team Deathmatch, I’m not sure if there are any other modes. Since I just started playing it, it’s very frustrating. Note: When playing this game prepare to get slaughtered by the pros but everything else would be fine, if I didn’t get my ass kicked every time I spawn. 7/10
2.Graphics: Um the graphics are excellent. The guns look great and the faces look fine and the environment in general is great, but then again not the best.9/10
3.Sound: The sound overrall is fine, not much to say here…9/10
4.Overall-Well the game is great, but unless your used to these type of games, I wouldn’t suggest playing it, if you’re going to quit right away because they can kill you when you spawn and you die fast. The final score is… an 8.3!!!
Well have a nice day gaming, shooting photos, or whatever it is you do, this has been Alex with the Gaming report, send me money!$
(Note:Screenshots will be made available; when I’m less lazy.)

Reveiw for Game: Wolfenstein Enemy Territory Score: 8.9
•September 17, 2007 • Leave a CommentHello, everyone and welcome to the review for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. This is a game that’s pretty old now, but still many people enjoy it’s fast paced and fun FPS. It takes place in WWII and there are various objectives and missions throughout the game, it’s multiplayer only and it’s free. There will be sections on which I grade it, a score for each category being out of ten.
1. Gameplay: In my opinion the gameplay is very fun and action paced to my liking. Although I don’t care about this much in the game, Wolfenstein is unrealistic. For all of you Counter Strike and War Rock fans, this game might either be a disappointment or a relief. For one thing, you do not die as fast as in Counter Strike, and for the second you jump waay too high.A 9/10
2. Graphics: Well, the graphics are okay, I say they could be better. Not much else to say 7/10 …moving on!
3.Sound: The sound is great! No complaints there, every gun sounds like the gun it’s supposed to be, though a mod has a sound every time you hit someone, but that could even be to your advantage. 10/10
4. Alex’s Overall: The game is great if you like fast paced action shooters. Not very realistic and not best graphics being it’s only con, and the first one depends who you are. 8.7/1o is my score for this game.
Igor’s Overall: This game is great for when you just want to relax. It is also free and has excellent sound. The graphics are fine but not great. The gameplay is awesome though, there are specialized task for each class. Also there is something called XP(experience points) which most servers have. Preforming certain tasks will gain more and if you gain enough you will be promoted and/ or gain better abilities.
This gives an incentive to keep on coming back to play so your charecter gets better.
My Score: 9.1/10
My character loading a rifle grenade into the rifle, an ability of the engineer profession.
The limbo screen, where you can choose sides, your profession and also look at your experience.
Complete Digital Photography 3rd Edition By Ben Long
•September 17, 2007 • 1 CommentI had purchased this book a few months ago and it is very good if you are just starting out in photography. It also has more advanced topics as you progress as a photographer.
It also comes with a CD with some of the images from the book and several tutorials. The tutorials were very helpful but I suggest you only do one or two a day so your mind gets some time to process the data. However if you are the type of person who is good at memorizing a lot feel free to do more then 2.
This book also has a chapter dedicating to selecting your camera. It is useful if you have not bought your camera or are interested in buying another one.
There is also information on the technical aspects of how a camera works which is interesting and helps you understand your camera more.
Besides things like composition and techniques in this book there is digital editing. The CD also comes with a trial of Photoshop CS, a trail of Iview Media Pro and an Image Rescue demo. There is also a video tutorial of Ben teaching how to clone.
I would recommend this book to everyone, beginners or pro. It probably has some things you haven’t know about and for a cheap price of $22.14 on Amazon for now its worth every dollar.
